This September Warwickshire Freemasons will again be taking part in the national Heritage Open Days programme. Heritage Open Days celebrate England’s fantastic architecture and culture by offering free access to places that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission. This year’s Open Days are the 6-9th of September 2012. Points of Interest this year include a wide variety of Masonic Halls, encompassing the home of The Lodge of Happiness, a museum and library, a 15th Century chapel, house ruins & caves.
For anybody who is curious about Freemasonry, including anybody who may be considering joining the Freemasons, these open days present an unique opportunity to see for yourself what Freemasonry is all about. There will be guided tours around the Lodge Rooms and Temple, with displays of regalia worn by Freemasons, and demonstrations of Freemasonry. Each venue has their own offering, so why not visit a few.
Nationally Heritage Open Days are organised by the Heritage Open Days National Partnership. Locally, over 1,400 organisations and some 40,000 volunteers organise thousands of site openings and events, jointly attracting over one million visitors, making Heritage Open Days England’s biggest voluntary cultural event.
