In a somewhat unheralded move the United Grand Lodge of England has transformed the design of their website.
The new design adopts the same style as they have used elsewhere, providing a much slicker and consistent corporate identity. Most recently that style is has already been seen in the Future of Freemasonry report and the What’s it all about? guides.
For the last two or three years this was sadly not the case. The old design was short on content compared to its predecessor and had a very fussy look which did little to support or reflect what Grand Lodge or Freemasonry was all about.
Overall the new design is facing outwards, towards the wider world rather than existing Masons. This can only be a good thing if the fraternity is to grow and encourage people to join the Masons.
